TOP Receives a $1B Valuation
This summer, The Open Platform (TOP) became the first unicorn of the TON-based economy within Telegram, reaching a $1 billion valuation. The milestone, achieved through a $28.5 million Series A extension led by Ribbit Capital and joined by Pantera Capital, underscores global investor confidence in ecosystem, with TOP at the forefront.
With over $70 million in total funding, TOP continues to drive adoption of blockchain infrastructure and consumer apps inside Telegram across the US, Europe and beyond.
Wallet in Telegram Rebrands Its Products
To make onboarding even easier, Wallet in Telegram rebranded its flagship wallets. The custodial Wallet service was renamed to Crypto Wallet, while TON Space became TON Wallet.
Both are now available directly through the @wallet mini app in Telegram, offering users a unified, dual-wallet experience within Telegram.
Wallet in Telegram Launches in the US
On June 22, Wallet in Telegram officially began its rollout in the United States, giving nearly 87 million American users the ability to send, store and manage digital assets directly within Telegram — no downloads or extensions required.
Offered as TON Wallet, this marks the first mainstream integration of a self-custodial crypto wallet inside a global messaging platform — a major leap forward in Web3 accessibility.
Tokenized Gold Arrives on TON
In partnership with Tether, TON Foundation and USDT0, TOP helped launch Tether Gold — the first omnichain gold token on TON. Fully backed by LBMA-certified physical gold, tokenized Gold in Wallet connects traditional capital markets to the TON DeFi ecosystem.
Built using LayerZero’s OFT standard, this system enables cross-chain DeFi use cases such as lending and liquidity provisioning — and is now available via Wallet in Telegram and STON.fi.
TAC and STON.fi Strengthen TON’s DeFi Layer
TOP’s portfolio projects saw major growth, while also bringing new capital flows and liquidity to the TON ecosystem. TAC secured $11.5M in partnership with Hack VC and launched its Mainnet, connecting major Ethereum DeFi protocols like Curve, Bancor, Morpho, and Euler to Telegram’s 1B+ users.
STON.fi secured $9.5M in Series A and launched Omniston v1beta7, improving DEX integrations, liquidity aggregation and developer analytics via their new Stats & Vaults APIs. Together, these advances make Telegram a complete DeFi environment where users can trade, lend and earn — alongside all their chats.
Ecosystem Upgrades: Faster, Smarter, and More Open
TON Blockchain completed major kernel optimizations, boosting processing speed tenfold and reducing transaction finalization times to just 3–5 seconds.
TonTech added TVM v11 support, new developer tools for Tolk v1.0, and SignData capabilities for secure on-chain authentication — helping builders bring next-generation infrastructure to TON.
Community Growth: From NFTs to Creator Tools
Getgems introduced offchain Telegram Gifts trading, 0% fees, and a public API for developers — making it the go-to platform for Telegram Gift NFTs, which continue to grow in popularity.
STON.fi removed its $1,000 swap limit in its liquidity aggregation protocol Omniston and integrated with TON Wallet in the US — allowing unlimited swaps and expanding USDe rewards.
Tonkeeper Pro for iOS launched a built-in browser, enabling seamless access to dApps and staking. Tonkeeper also added native support for USDT on TRON (TRC20) across its apps — without the need to hold or manage TRX for gas fees.
Tribute, a creator monetization platform, added recurring crypto payments and promo codes through Telegram Wallet, empowering content creators to gather and grow Web3-native audiences.
