Mira, an AI assistant purpose-built for use inside Telegram, is now available to the app’s base of over 1 billion users. Mira integrates directly with Cocoon, a decentralized confidential compute network built on TON Blockchain, designed to process AI requests securely without exposing user data or storing prompts.
Mira operates entirely inside Telegram and handles all requests directly in chat, where users can search for information, answer questions, and generate text, images or videos. Telegram’s threaded chats for mini apps allow Mira to seamlessly handle multiple requests in parallel, each with their own context.
All Telegram users have free access to text-based prompts within Mira — photo or video-based prompts require tokens, which users can purchase with Telegram Stars, Telegram’s native in-app currency.
Users are able to select from two distinct modes, depending on their needs. The first of which is private mode, where all requests are sent through Cocoon’s decentralized GPU network. All private mode prompts are processed confidentiality — with secure encryption that prevents processors from accessing user requests or storing prompt data.
Mira also offers a standard mode, where the assistant is able to remember user preferences and prompts, understand conversation context, and adapt to the user’s communication style. In this mode, Mira utilizes a range of leading AI models, depending on the task. ChatGPT is used for text queries, Nano Banana for image generation, and WAN 2.2 is available for video creation.
Unlike other AI assistants, Mira is being developed specifically for native use inside Telegram, leveraging features and integrations to provide users a seamless and complete experience — without switching apps. With future updates, Mira will become accessible from inside other chats, allowing the assistant to perform tasks in private chats, groups and channels.
The team also plans to expand Mira’s functionality with features like chat summaries and unique AI personas for all users, as well as advanced photo, video and text generation models for Pro users. Mira is a portfolio project of The Open Platform (TOP) and also plans to integrate with Wallet in Telegram, another flagship product from TOP.
